Portugal’s Andre Pires is joining Ben Wylie in the Bimota UK squad for the 63rd Macau Grand Prix.
Last years Macau GP, saw Andre finish a very creditable 20th on the Team SBK/IncortCar backed YZF R1M Yamaha.
TT 2016 saw Andre take to the world famous Mountain Course for the first time. The Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock race, would see him complete his first full race at the TT Races, in 52nd place.
Now set for competition at Macau on BB3 Bimota machinery, he’s excited about the upcoming action with the famous marque.
Commenting on his Facebook page, Andre said about his 2016 Macau GP challenge:
“Once again, I have the honour to join other great pilots in this historical race, the 50th Macau GP.
This year I have the opportunity to race with an amazing Bimota from Bimota UK. Already done some testing in England with this bike and it’s without a doubt a great piece with fine details!
A big thank you to everyone who’s been following and helping me through this adventure. Municipio de Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Nexx, Gonksys, IncortCar, Bimota.”
