Blue skies, crisp autumn winds greeted fans, teams, racers, organisers venturing to Scarborough for day 1 of this weekend’s Oliver’s Mount hill climb meeting.
The event which has attracted entries from ‘Mini TT’ stalwarts Keith Pringle and today’s Supersport class winner Brian Greenfield, Fran Cowton, local favourite Paul Marley, Neil Martin and Oliver’s Mount Racing Joint Director Andy Hayes, is the latest positive, enterprising moment in the already highly successful new era for England’s only closed roads course.
Machinery wise, there was a great mix of unusual, high spec, yesteryear, two stroke, three wheeling steeds taking to the tight, twisty, world famous race circuit.
Road Racing News photographer Steve Rial filmed this morning, this afternoon a series of videos which collectively showcases the uniqueness, authenticity of hill climb action at the ‘Mount’.
The series of videos published on You Tube, which includes an interview with Oliver’s Mount Racing Joint Director Eddie Roberts, are as follows:
