Taking place today, the Luttenbergring race demonstration event celebrates the great history of competition at one of the Netherlands most highly regarded, famous, prestigious roads meetings, the Raalte Races.
Amongst those in attendance today at Luttenbergring included 1980 350cc World Champion Jon Ekerold, Donnie McLeod, Marcel Ankone and Dutch road racing enthusiast Jeffrey Boer.
Over 250 competitors are taking part in the demonstration event, piloting a range of iconic yesteryear machinery which includes 80cc, 125/250 two stroke, 400, 750cc machines.
52 years since pure road racing action first took place at Raalte, it’s great to see the Raalte Races rich vibrant history not forgotten.

At a glance star names to have competed on the 3.15 kilometres long roads of Luttenbergring include Britain’s last Moto GP World Champion Barry Sheene, Wil Hartog, Boet Van Dulmen, Jack Middelburg, Kork Ballington.
Former works Kawasaki racer Anton Mang, Angel Nieto, Pekka Nurmi, Christian Sarron and Sidecar greats Steve Webster and Rolf Biland.
