Debutants to Oliver’s Mount impressed at this years Scarborough gold cup. Daniel Ingham competing in his first pure road race secured 4th place finish in second lightweight race, plus Daniel who was delighted with the result was second 400 mounted rider.

Bradley Vicars son of long time competitor around Oliver’s Mount Neil Vicars produced two great performances in both super twins races acquiring back to back 10th place finishes. Jay Bellers Smith regular competitor at Aberdare park road races secured 4th and 6th place finishes in David Jefferies trophy b races as he enjoyed a solid debut around the mount.
Derek Wilkie enjoyed his first time competing around the mount and recorded back to back 5th place finishes in lightweight races following solid, consistent and excellent all round performances.
The opening David Jefferies trophy b race provided Derek 675 Daytona Triumph mounted with top ten finish. Forest Dunn secured two highly results in both senior b races, Forest competing on a ZX10 Kawasaki recorded in opening senior b race eighth place finish.
Second senior b race provided the rider who enjoyed the challenge of competing around Oliver’s Mount for the first time with a highly respectable top six placing. Phil Crowe who lapped in the 121.5 mph bracket on his TT debut this year quickly got to grips with the mount.

Excellent fourth place finish was secured in opening senior b race as the S1000RR BMW mounted rider produced a consistent and tenacious performance. Dominic Herbertson who had a productive TT 2014 was another rider to adapt to Oliver’s Mount in top style at 2014 Scarborough gold cup.
12th place finish was acquired in second super twins race whilst opening David Jefferies trophy b race provided the up and coming road racer with highly creditable top six finish. Second David Jefferies trophy b race would see him show more good form on Herbertson racing ZX6R Kawasaki.
4th position was secured whilst Dominic recorded best lap time of 1 minute 56.493 seconds. Overall the standard of the newcomers at this years gold cup was high with all of them adapting to the road race circuit known to many as a mini TT in excellent style.
