By BMW Motorrad supported NW (Noel Williamson) Racing, TT 2020 expedition will see them link up again with Banbridge’s Shaun Anderson.
Anderson who placed a very creditable 12th in last year’s Dunlop Senior TT, finishing in front of Irish Road Race Superbike Champion Derek Sheils, since making his Mountain Course debut at the Manx Grand Prix in 2010, has developed into a highly proficient TT Races competitor.
6th, 7th in the most recent TT Zero races, his TT CV also includes no less than 12 top 20 finishes.
Alongside piloting BMW’s world famous S1000RR model within the 1000cc races, Anderson’s latest TT tenure will additionally include Supersport class action aboard YZF R6 Yamaha machinery.
Commenting on re-signing for NW Racing, the affable KTM employee who is also Brno, Tandragee 100 and potentially North West 200 bound in 2020, candidly stated:
“I am more than happy to be back with NW Racing. I think 2019 was a solid season for us and we now have a great base to start from for 2020.
The addition of a 600 to the stable will only give me more track time and miles, so hopefully I will be sharper and can push us closer to the front.
With one of the Internationals in doubt this year, it will put even more focus on the TT, but with great machinery, team members and my normal support crew around me, I am sure I have found a great place for me coming into the new season and that has given me an even greater focus in being prepared for the challenge that lays ahead.”
NW Racing Team Owner Noel Williamson, who’s team has attracted new sponsorship from DoorsPlusFloors.ie, Hillhead Reclamation, provided additional comment:
“I am delighted to have Shaun on board for 2020 and hopefully he will be much better prepared for the TT this year.
With Tandragee being the first Irish outing, we have included European races that will accommodate Shaun in many ways with his work and his travel.
Shaun is a very professional rider and with the team that we have around him he should be able to get the results that he is capable of.”
