North west 200 – Super-twins race 1

The opening super-twins race at the Vauxhall international North West 200 brought a debut North West 200 win for Jeremy Mcwilliams. Jeremy on the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall ER6 super-twin bike consistently lead from the front whilst in a battle with William Davison on the Hill Contracts racing ER6 Kawasaki. William Davison crashed out of the race at Black Hill towards the end of the race, William is ok.

James Hillier finished in second place on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki super-twin just in front of Jamie Hamilton who scored his first ever podium finish at the North west 200. Ivan Lintin recorded a brilliant 4th place finish on the Mckinstry racing ER6 Kawasaki, Lee Johnston finished in 5th place on the East coast racing ER6 Kawasaki whilst Michael Rutter rounded the top 6.

James Cowton on his debut at the North west 200 finished in a fantastic 7th place, Michael Sweeney, Colin Stephenson and Paul Shoesmith rounded out the top 10. Bruce Dunn on the JHS racing Suzuki SV650 super-twin finished in 11th place.

Paul Gartland finished in a creditable 12th place whilst Scott Campbell recorded a 13th place finish. Nigel Moore on the Cookstown/Burrows Engineering super-twin finished in 14th place in front of 15th place finisher Dave Moffitt. So a new winner at the North west 200 in Jeremy Mcwilliams in what was a race that showed the talents of many up and coming riders most notably William Davison who starred throughout the race.
