North west 200 – Superstock race 1

The opening superstock race at this years North west 200 brought victory for Alastair Seeley on the MSS Kawasaki superstock bike. For the majority of the race Alastair was down in 3rd place but gradually as the race went on Alastair began to reel in leaders at the front of the race Bruce Anstey and Gary Johnson. Bruce and Gary both recorded podium finishes in a race that showed both riders, riding at the top of their form.

Guy Martin finished in 4th place but one of the rides of the day came from Derek Shiels on the CD racing Kawasaki ZX-10 superstock bike who finished in a sensational 5th place in front of 6th placed Conor Cummins. Josh Brookes competing in his first race at the North west 200 recorded a consistent 7th place finish whilst Michael Rutter, James Hillier and Jamie Hamilton rounded out the top 10.

Paul Shoesmith on the Ice Valley racing BMW by Motorsave ltd superstock machine finished in 11th place in front of Cameron Donald who finished in 12th. Simon Andrews ended up finishing in 13th place on the RAF Reserves Honda CBR 1000 stock bike.

Brian Mccormack recorded a steady 14th place finish whilst Dan Cooper rounded out the top 15 with a consistent ride on the Centurion racing superstock bike. Another top race at the Vauxhall international North West 200 which saw a 10th race win at the North West 200 for Alastair Seeley.
