Concluding the 2019 Mountain Course competition on Friday the 30th of August will be the second Lightweight/Ultra Lightweight races, and the prestigious Senior race, won last August in drama filled fashion by The Peoples Bike Team’s Matt Stevenson.

Ripon’s Stevenson, reigning Junior class victor James Chawke both set to step up to the TT Races next year, epitomise the crucial role the Manx GP plays in bringing through future accomplished, high level TT competitors.

Another aspect that the Manx GP is associated with, is tradition, a prime case in point is how event organisers have made the decision to continue to allow 125, Moto 3, 400 action to continue on the fabled Mountain Course.

Speaking candidly about this decision, Manx Motorcycle Club Chairman, Peter Maddocks recently stated via the Manx GP’s official Facebook page:

“We felt it was appropriate for us to retain the smaller capacity class, as it offers an opportunity for younger new riders to enter the event and get them interested in competing on the Mountain Course.”
