MM Racing Team Up With Dan Hegarty

Fourth place finisher in the 2015 Steve Henshaw international gold cup, Dan Hegarty has secured a deal with MM Racing to ride their YZF R6 Yamaha, during the 2016 pure road racing season.

Anticipated action on the bike backed by Well Built Capital includes competition in the Monster Energy supersport races at TT 2016, Bob Smith Spring Cup Road Races and the prestigious Scarborough Gold Cup.

Commenting on his Facebook page around the deal with MM Racing, Dan said:

“Really happy to have done a deal with MM Racing to ride their Yamaha R6 on the roads this season. This 600 is going to be backed by Well Built Capital for my 2016 campaign! Mark Middleton is an Ex Racer himself is a great guy to have on board.”

Established amongst pure road racing’s fastest rising stars, Dan is determined to keep up his rapid progress around the Mountain Course and Oliver’s Mount.

His second place finish in the second senior race at last years Scarborough Gold Cup meeting, raised many an eyebrow as he beat the likes of John McGuinness, Ivan Lintin and Dan Kneen.


Lap speed in excess of 126 mph, 13th position in the RST superbike race at TT 2015, showcased his vast improvement in recent years at the most famous road race in the world.

With five victories, multiple podium finishes the YZF R6 Yamaha has been one of the undoubted machines to be on in the supersport class at the TT Races, in the last eighth years.

The MM Racing Yamaha is set to give Dan Hegarty, the ideal tools for this years Monster Energy supersport TT races, as he aims for his first top ten finishes around the Mountain Course.
