By Michael Dunlop’s iconic MD Racing team will once again this year grace Mountain Course competition, as the already immensely successful outfit aims for more prodigious, tumultuous feats on the legendary 37 and three quarter miles long circuit.
Still to officially confirm their machinery line up for the Monster Energy Supersport encounters, this summer will see them run BMW’s newest incarnation of the fabled S1000RR mount within the Royal London 360 Superstock class.
Three times a Superbike, Senior TT winner, International roads maestro Dunlop glittering TT resume also includes countless incredible, record breaking, history making achievements aboard MD Racing steeds.
Winner in record breaking fashion of last June’s opening Monster Energy Supersport race, he’s amassed to date ten TT victories when competing under the MD Racing banner.
Speaking as part of a team statement issued this evening via Facebook, Mountain Course legend Dunlop stated in candid fashion about his outfit’s 2019 plans:
“After having some time off now is the time to come back, bigger and better than ever. I have a strong team and great bunch of lads some who will be returning with me this year along with a few new faces!
I have a great team around me we have the craic but we get the job done.The team put in the hours and hard work to help get me to where I am today.
We have the new S1000 RR K67 bike this year so there will be a few late night to get all ready to go ASAP.
We are up for the challenge with the bike and will be working alongside Tyco BMW for technical support and developing our relationship. We are ready to take on challenges that 2019 bring.”
