By Three times Macau GP runner up Martin Jessopp, is in my opinion entering the golden stage of his roads career, as he aims to build upon this year, his tally of five international podium finishes from 2016.
Sticking with the same machinery line up that propelled him to sustained success last year, Martin is confident that the Riders Motorcycles ER6 Kawasaki, 675 Daytona Triumph and S1000RR BMW’s in Superstock and Superbike trim, will prove the tools for the job.
Alongside his exploits at Macau, the Yeovil based rider has developed into a frequent front runner at the North West 200.
Last year at the Triangle, he wrapped up three podium finishes, including finishing runner up in the second Supersport race.
It wouldn’t surprise many to see Martin secure a maiden victory at the Giant Causeway based meeting, in May, which will mark his opening roads action of 2017.
Following on from the North West 200, attentions will then turn to TT 2017.
Having recorded a first podium finish at the most famous road race in the world, in the 2016 Lightweight TT, his stature around the Mountain Course, firmly increased.

Growing his confidence with every lap of the magical roads course, he has the proven pace, credentials and determination to contend for Lightweight race honours, plus don’t discount him from top ten finishes or better in the 1000cc and Supersport encounters.
Martin’s 2017 roads schedule, is set to conclude at the Macau Grand Prix, where it’s fair to say he has achieved everything, but a race victory.
Highly touted by many, Martin Jessopp is moving into the next stage of his career on the roads, it’s one that quite possibly could see him become a multiple times international road race winner.
