Manx Grand Prix newcomers race

Kamil Holan from the Czech Republic took his first win on the mountain course today in the newcomers Manx Grand Prix. The race which saw three different leaders on the opening lap was one that saw many twists and turns before Holan on his Yamaha R6 upped the pace on lap 2 of the race and broke away from Andrew Soar who finished in second place on his Suzuki GSX-R 750. Early leader of the race Dean Roberts finished third with International road racing championship riders Peter Heijmans and Thilo Hafele finishing in 4th and 5th positions. Leader at Glen Helen on lap 1 Adrian Harrison brother of TT star Dean finished in 7th place behind Oliver Dupuy.

Andrew Dudgeon took race victory in the newcomers B race on the Martin Bullock Manxsport Kawasaki ER6. 2nd place went to Gary Gittins with Colin Stephenson taking third place. 4th place went to son of TT racer Jim Hodson, Rob Hodson on his Kawasaki ER6. Winner of the newcomers C race was James Cowton on his Honda RVF 400 race bike. James took race victory by a huge 6 minutes over in second place Renzo Van Der Donckt with third place going to Ben Palmer. Overall the newcomers race today saw many up and coming stars on the roads circuits taking to the mountain course for the first time in race conditions a day all of them will remember in the future.
