By With great dry bright sunny conditions around the Mountain Course, the scene was set for many a great performance this evening from the Manx Grand Prix newcomers.
This was seen and much more in particular from Newcomers A pace setter Michael Evans who went onto lap at a brilliant 114.990 mph, extremely impressive from the GSX-R 600 Suzuki mounted rider.
Fellow Manxman Brendan Fargher, competing on the Paul Smyth Racing YZF R6 Yamaha, lapped at 113.015 mph, to finish second fastest.
Julian Trummer (112.475 mph) improved his personal best lap speed by 3 mph, whilst Spain’s Raul Torras Martinez (111.889 mph) impressed on the Martimotos backed YZF R6 Yamaha.

Wayne Humble (111.894 mph) fourth fastest is getting quicker session on session around the TT course, as is Jamie Williams (111.478 mph).
Additional stand out lap speeds from a great practice session for the newcomers included Mark Foster (109.894 mph), Sean Montgomery (107.431 mph), France’s Richard Vuillermet and Dan Beighton with new personal best lap speeds of 104.032 mph and 103.061 mph respectively.
Moving to the top spot on the Newcomers B practice week leader board was Jonathan Perry. Jonathan who impressed on his Southern 100 debut in July, has raised an eye brow of two this week, with his performances on his own teams ER6 Kawasaki.
His lap speed tonight of 107.869 mph underlined his now status as one of the anticipated front runners for the Newcomers B race on Monday.
The same notion can be added to Australia’s Paul Van Der Heiden (107.302 mph), who continues to impress as does Shirlaws Motorcycles backed Marc Ironside (107.237 mph).
Added Newcomers B competitors to enjoy a productive evening on the Mountain Course included Dave Butler (104.897 mph), Stuart Hall (100.241 mph), Dan Ingham (98.873 mph) Steven Horne (97.735 mph), Scott Miller (96.863 mph) and Denmark’s TZ 250 Yamaha mounted Carsten Svendsen who lapped at 98.023 mph.
