Eight times Sidecar TT winner Dan Sayle underlined his pre race favourite status, as he dominated the 2016 Lightweight Manx Grand Prix.
Piloting the Falcon Racing NSF250R Moto 3 Honda, the Manxman was over 54 seconds in front at the end of the opening lap and from here his lead increased and increased, to in the end in excess of 1 minute 46 seconds.
An interesting fact from the race, was that Dan went the whole four laps, without having to undertake a pit stop.
Rikki McGovern nearest challenger to Dan during practice week, finished a quite brilliant second.
2015 Newcomers B race winner Elwyn Fryer finalised the podium finishers as Mountain Course newcomer Dan Ingham, produced one of the performances of the race, as he finished fifth.
Completing for the top six finishers was Robert Smith on the Railway Inn Union Mills backed Kawasaki.
Tom Snow was the leading 125 mounted competitor in seventh, whilst Dave Taylor in contention throughout a podium finish, encountered problems on the last lap, which dropped him back to eighth.

Andrew Cowie and Marek Wieckowski secured the final spots within the top ten, of a drama filled race.
Podium finishing contenders Nick Anderson, Alex Sinclair and Lancelot Unissart all retired from promising positions.
Outside of the top ten, added riders to impress included Jason Lamb 11th, Shelley Pike 12th and Sarah Boyes finishing a highly respectable 17th.
