2019 Junior, Senior race winner Nathan Harrison will grace the 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix, piloting Ashcourt Racing’s RC45 Honda, which was taken last year to a top eight finish by Lee Johnston.
In the mid to late 1990’s the World Superbike Championship winning RC45 was propelled to multiple big bike TT successes, podium finishes by TT super heroes including Steve Hislop, Phillip McCallen, Ian Simpson, Michael Rutter and all time TT wins record holder, Joey Dunlop.
The RC45’s presence amongst the 2023 RST Classic Superbike entry-list, will be music to the ears of fans a plenty of one of the TT’s all-time great machines.
Absent from TT 2023, after sustaining collarbone, radius injuries following an incident within the first Superstock race of the FonaCAB & Nicholl Oils North West 200, new RC45 Honda jockey Harrison, who tested the steed (showcased above) recently at Cadwell Park, is eager to prominently reacquaint himself with the unparalleled Mountain Course.
Runner-up in last year’s Superbike Classic race, behind then Greenall Racing team-mate, Rob Hodson, it’s going to be intriguing to see how competitive he will be, astride the world-famous RC45 mount.
