Manx GP 2022: Hind To The Fore In Lightweight First Practice

Illustrating his renowned two stroke racing skillset, Jim Hind and the Dennis Trollope Racing Yamaha were in spot on harmony as they topped this afternoon’s Lightweight Manx practice stint.

Late on in the session, twice Manx GP winner Hind find a potent burst of speed, registering a lap speed of 114.137 mph.

This enabled Hind to finish fastest by 16 seconds plus over previous pace setter, 21 times TT winner Michael Dunlop (112.611).

Respectively third, fourth quickest behind Dunlop and the Crossan Motorcycles supported Honda were the Laylaw Racing duo of Ian Lougher (112.258) and Michael Browne (108.028).

Next up on the practice leader board was another two-stroke maestro, Goole’s Phil Harvey (106.789).

Sidecar TT legend Dan Sayle (104.644) finished sixth fastest whilst seventh to tenth quickest 250 pilots were the following:

Frenchman Timothee Monot (102.518), Andrew Jackson (101.877), Adrian Morris (101.545) and 21 plate holder Stuart Hall (100.753).

In total just 18 riders all aboard Honda, Yamaha tackle except Richard Wilson set representative lap times.
