Manx GP 2022: Impressive Smith Heads Sunday’s Senior Action

Laying down an early marker to the opposition, Stephen Smith aboard the Team ACR Kawasaki, impressively topped this afternoon’s Senior MGP practice session.

Smith’s opening flying lap of practice week, would see him lap at almost sub 19 minutes, lapping at 118.871 mph.

Such was Smith’s turn of speed that the nearest challenger pace wise Jamie Williams (115.208) was 36.3 seconds in arrears to the Junior race runner-up from 2019.

Behind MGP returnee Williams, David McConnachy (115.121) piloting the Peter Dobson Racing Triumph looked in decent fettle on route to finishing third quickest.
