qualifying action.
Post respective Group A, Group B sessions, qualifying honours had been unlocked by Tobermore’s Adam McLean.
McAdoo Kawasaki’s McLean during Group A qualifying, lapped just over 1.3 seconds shy of Michael Dunlop’s current existing lap record, recording a best lap time of 1 minute 26.088 seconds.
0.941 quicker than 125/Moto 3 pole sitter Michael Browne (1.27.029), the next gen roads talent is looking good to add to his Irish road race wins tally.
Third, fourth quickest overall were Paul Jordan (1.27.116), Open A race qualifying victor Michael Sweeney (1.27.502) with fifth fastest Darryl Tweed (1.28.938) the one remaining racer to dip under the 1 minute 30 seconds barrier.
Concluding the overall top ten fastest middleweight class exponents were the following:
Group B pace setter (1.31.534), 2018 Junior Manx GP winner James Chawke (1.31.795), Graham Kennedy (1.31.918), Dean Campbell (1.31.973) and Richard Charlton (1.32.178).
