Ivan Lintin produced arguably the best performances of his road racing career to date at 2014 Scarborough gold cup. The weekends racing began for Ivan with opening David Jefferies trophy race victory lapping in the 1 minute 46.9 bracket as he reeled in long time race leader Lee Johnston.
Senior a race 1 would see Ivan produce another highly accomplished performance around the mount as he powered his way to race win by over 7.5 seconds on Taylor Lindsey racing CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade.
Ivan made it a hat trick of wins on opening day of racing around the mount at 2014 Scarborough gold cup following super twins race one victory on Tigcraft Kawasaki. If day one of racing at this years gold cup was fantastic for the two Ulster Grand Prix super twins race winner then day two was arguably even better.
Second senior a race saw Ivan and Lee Johnston closely matching each other for opening three laps before the Taylor Lindsey racing rider pulled out an advantage by end of lap four and from here controlled the race to secure his fourth win in a row.

Ivan’s only none race victory occurred in second David Jefferies trophy race where he was just edged out for race win by Lee Johnston after another great battle between them around the mount.

Second super twins provided the 2014 TT privateers champion with his fifth win of the weekend. This years gold cup saw the rider regarded by many as one of the best super twins riders in road racing set new lap record for the popular class of racing around Oliver’s Mount with lap time of 1 minute 49.944 seconds.
Steve Henshaw international gold cup was coming up on the horizon and many people where wondering if Ivan could round his dazzling weekend of racing at gold cup with feature race victory.
Following an excellent start he quickly pulled away from 21 times TT winner John McGuinness and by lap five had a lead over 2.6 seconds. From here as in previous superbike race he controlled the race and crossed the finish line at the end of lap eight to record his first international road race superbike victory.

By winning the Scarborough gold cup Ivan has joined the likes of Giacomo Agostini, David Jefferies, Philip Mccallen, John McGuinness, Ian Hutchinson, Ryan Farquhar, Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop on winning one of the most prestigious trophies in pure road racing.
Alongside six race wins and a new super twins lap record one of the most improved riders in road racing this year achieved new personal best lap time around the mount with lap time of 1 minute 45.385 seconds making him the fourth fastest rider in Oliver’s Mount history.
