By Unofficially the TT zero lap record went tonight with John McGuinness lapping at Mugen’s Shinden Ni machine at a lap speed of over 111.9 mph. Through Sulby speed trap the Mugen was clocked at 164 mph a remarkable speed for a electric bike.
Rob Barber lapped over 89 mph on Buckeye Ohio university as the bullet aims for his third podium finish in TT zero races.
Having won the inaugural race back in 2009 and then achieving a third place finish in 2013 race the enthusiastic road racer is looking forward to proving the potential of the American made electric bike which he is competing on this year.
