Creating more history in what’s been a quite memorable year of competition for him, Tunbridge Wells Danny Webb was officially crowned yesterday as winner of this years BMW Motorrad Race Trophy series.
The first racer from UK soil to claim the prestigious title, there’s no question that the recent fourth place finisher at the 52nd Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, more than deserves the much coveted Race Trophy series crown.

Reflecting via his Facebook page on his latest major achievement, the 2018 IRRC Superbike champion delightedly stated:
“What an incredible way to finish the perfect season. Thank you to my whole Wepol Racing by penz13.com team and BMW Motorrad Motorsport.”
Outside of the IRRC history makers title success, fellow closed roads exponents to acquire top 30 series finishes included Senior TT champ Peter Hickman, who’s 13th place finish saw him lead the Combined Road Race challenge contingent.
Whilst Czech roads legend Marek Cerveny, leading Finnish roads exponent Erno Kostamo fresh from 11th, 17th place finishes at Macau finished respectively a very creditable 22nd, 25th in the final series standings.
