Varsselring specialist Thijs Peeters, turned on the style in IRRC Hengelo – Second Superbike Qualifying, going close to a sub 1:46 seconds lap time.
Peeters riding his own teams BMW, within the early stages of SBK Q2, was clocked at 1 minute 46.175 seconds.
Adam McLean (1.47.892 – Performance Racing Achterhoek Kawasaki) as in Q1, finished top full-time IRRC competitor, closest to 84 plate carrier Peeters.
Laurent Hoffmann (1.48.848 – Hoffmann by MRP BMW), IRRC Supersport Champion in 2012 and 2013, continued the good form he illustrated during the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, by finishing third fastest.
Fellow Belgian, event-wildcard Mike Parmentier (1.49.564) narrowly outpaced Never Be Clever Racing’s Darryl Tweed (1.49.997) for fourth whilst top German rider in sixth was Nico Muller (1.50.920 – Muller Motorsport by Edeka Meisel BMW).
Wally Jacobs (1.50.948), sole Swedish rider competing Pontus Roestlinger (1.51.883) were seventh, eighth speediest respectively.
Wrapping up the SBK Q2 leader-board top 10 were Hoffmann by MRP’s Fedrik Matthys (1.52.006) and Austrian rider Florian Astner (1.53.319).
