Sixteen points is Adam McLean’s IRRC SBK Championship lead, following the re-started, five-lap opening, Circuit De Chimay big-bike race voyage.
The 2022 Oliver’s Mount, Steve Henshaw Gold Cup victor (Performance Racing Achterhoek – Kawasaki) placed second, 0.587 in arrears to first-time IRRC race winner, Gabriel Pons (Team ITeM17 – Kawasaki).
With pons a meeting wildcard, ineligible to score series points, McLean gained a full haul of 25 Championship points.
Another IRRC Chimay wildcard Ouri Bikkems (Master Oil Alpha Vanzon BMW) joined Pons, McLean on the podium.
Fourth, fifth but second, third in terms of full-time IRRC series competitors, were the duelling duo of Darryl Tweed (Never Be Clever Racing – Yamaha) and twice former Supersport Champion Laurent Hoffmann (Hoffmann by MRP – BMW).
Sixth to eight positions went respectively to Fedrik Matthys (Hoffmann by MRP – BMW), Johannes Schwimmbeck (KFZ-Schwimmbeck #44 – BMW) and Christophe Guerouah.
The Scandinavian pair of Anssi Koski (AK 51 Racing Team – Yamaha), Pontus Roestlinger (Rostlinger Racing8 – Honda) finalised the leader board top ten.
