The returning Aberdare Park Road Races has enticed entries from racers ranging from TT, Ulster Grand Prix, Manx Grand Prix winners to up coming, experienced meeting exponents.
Current undisputed ‘King of Aberdare’ Dan Cooper, will be aiming to make it seven Welsh Open titles whilst others with proven International road racing pedigree entered include:
2009 TT XGP winner Rob Barber, Barry Furber and Wilson Craig Racing’s Davey Todd, who placed second behind Dean Harrison in the feature race at May’s Bob Smith Spring Cup at Oliver’s Mount.
Manx GP podium finishers, winners set to travel to Aberdare include Michael Rees, Heattech Racing’s Thomas Maxwell, ‘Tommy Club’ member Dan Ingham, Wayne ‘Ciderman’ Axon and 2012 Senior race victor John Simpson.
Local favourites Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams, Matt Rees, Jay Bellers Smith, Alex Sinclair, Justin Collins are additional confirmed as are Faraldo Racing supported Sam Grief, the Isle of Wight’s Ryan Whitehall, the ever versatile Pete Boast, Paul Gartland and reigning Irish Road Race Junior Support Champion Vinny Brennan.
The 2021 Aberdare Park Road Races takes place from the 7th-8th August whilst spectator numbers for Wales only pure road race, are capped at 4,000 a day.
