Faugheen 50 organisers have announced that they will be supporting current Irish Road Race Junior Support Champion, Vinny Brennan at the upcoming Armoy Road Races and Cookstown 100.
Known as ‘The Racing Barber’ Brennan’s latest Armoy, Cookstown tenures sees him pilot the Faugheen 50 Road Racing Club backed CBR 600 Honda, previously piloted by FHO Racing/Roadhouse Macau’s Brian McCormack.
Once Irish road race action for 2021 concludes, the Honda steed will be a raffle prize, as stated below by the Faugheen 50 Road Racing Club, who issued via Facebook the following words:
“Seeing as we can’t have our own meeting this year, our club members have been suffering from racing withdrawal symptoms.
Our intention is to raffle off our Supersport 600 Honda, we were to do it ages ago but after the loss of William which hurt us all and out of respect to the entire Dunlop family who have been long time supporters of our meeting we held off, then we got hit with the plague etc.”
They continued:
“Anyway we saw a request from the racing barber Vinny Brennan looking for a bike for the two road races this year and after a bit of debate amongst us we decided to support Vinny and get our bike out for one last spin before we organise our raffle.
The brief is simple, go out, stay safe, have fun. We left all the supporters names on the bike, they will be getting offered the raffle tickets first, we’ll limit the numbers and keep it at a reasonable price per ticket to give everyone a good chance of winning that cracking bike with TT history.
If your at Armoy or Cookstown give Vinny a wave and support the people who support the sport.”
