Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races Preview – Part 3


Amongst the competitors for the sidecar races include 17 times TT winner Dave Molyneux. Dave will be competing on his own DMR outfit with Patrick Farrance as passenger.


Ian Bell and his son and passenger Carl Bell starred at Oliver’s Mount last year in the sidecar races at the Scarborough gold cup and will look to continue this form at 2014 spring cup. Ian and Carl are competing at this years Isle of Man TT in what will be Carl Bell’s debut as a TT passenger.


Conrad Harrison is always near the front in the sidecar races at Oliver’s Mount. The double podium finisher at TT 2013 will be confident of securing more top results during this years spring cup meeting.

Dave Wallis is a seasoned competitor who has over the years pushed the front runners in the sidecar races at the mount and will be looking for similar performances at Ian Watson spring cup road races.

Another seasoned competitor in the sidecar races is Greg Lambert. Greg has a good all round record at the mount and he and Kenny Cole will be looking to start their 2014 road racing season in style by securing top three finishes.

Rising star Carl Fenwick who has a best TT finish of seventh place is getting better and better in sidecar racing on the roads. Phil Knapton is passenger to Carl this year at Oliver’s Mount and Isle of Man TT and both combined are set to a formidable team.

Overall it’s a top class entry for the opening round of this years Duke road race championship, plus its going to be interesting to see who is in good form ahead of North West 200 and Isle of Man TT.
