Hengelo Road Races – Preview

The Hengelo Road Races will mark the start of the 2015 international road racing championship.

Five times IRRC superbike champion Didier Grams goes into Hengelo amongst the pre race favourites in superbike class as he bids to open his 2015 road racing season with top class results.

The W&G motorsport rider is regarded by many as IRRC superbike title favourite this year but the competition is set to be intense.

Johan Fredriks impressed hugely last season producing regular high quality performances. Johan who is all set to compete on Tovami backed S1000RR BMW goes into superbike races at Hengelo confident of securing top results.

Matti Seidel, Marnix D’Hondt, Ales Nechvatal, Pavel Tomecek, David Drieghe, Thomas Wendel and Jochem Van Den Hoek all have the credentials to push for podium finishes as does 2012 newcomers A Manx Grand Prix winner Kamil Holan.


Kamil who is all set to compete for the first time at TT races this year is backed by BMW Motorrad Czech Republic for the 2015 international road racing championship.

Fellow S1000RR BMW mounted rider Branko Srdanov makes a popular return to pure road racing action at Hengelo.

The 2012 IRRC superbike champion is regarded by many as a future international road race winner at Isle of Man TT, North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and Macau Grand Prix.

Leading Suzuki mounted riders in superbike races at Hengelo are set to include Marc Fissette and Rob Van Eijs who are both set to compete on high spec GSX-R 1000 Suzuki’s.


Franck Petricola’s continues his North West 200 and TT 2015 preparations at Hengelo as he competes on HMR Martimotos backed ZX10R Kawasaki.

Leading IRRC supersport race entries include reigning champion Joey Den Besten, Marek Cerveny, Laurent Hofmann, Kevin De Frenne, Sammy De Caluwe, Marc Bornhausser, Wolfgang Schuster and Luca Gottardi.

16th place finisher in 2014 lightweight TT Tuukka Korhonen goes into the Hengelo Road Races confident of securing highly creditable results in supersport races.


The rider who is set to compete for NK Motors Racing in 2015 lightweight TT is CBR 600 Honda mounted in what are set to be closely contested IRRC supersport races.

Further quality to the entry list is added by prospective 2015 Manx Grand Prix newcomers Dennis Hoffer and Sjak Van Dijk, Mike Ceuppens, Denis Sanchez and Marcel Zuurbier.

Top class action is guaranteed at the 2015 Hengelo Road Races.
