Dan Kneen acquired his third win of the day at Faugheen 50 road races by winning grand final race. Derek Sheils was second finishing 3.7 seconds behind Dan following a highly accomplished performance on CD racing ZX10 Kawasaki.
Michael Sweeney rounded out podium finishers on Martin Jones racing ZX10 Kawasaki as John Walsh was an excellent fourth. Seamus Elliott completed a top day of racing with fifth position, Brian Mccormack secured sixth place on Tag racing backed CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade.
With grand final victory at Faugheen Dan Kneen is confirmed as Irish road race superbike champion. Plus it’s the second major title clinched by Cookstown Burrows engineering racing today as Michael Sweeney wrapped up Irish road race 250 championship.
