It was an enjoyable Manx Grand Prix debut for Sam West despite reliability issues stopping him securing top results. Newcomers a race saw the rider who has been hugely looking forward to making his mountain course debut this year run as high as second on lap two before holding fourth position on final lap before fuel issues struck.
Junior race proved to be a tough one for Sam on Carlube motor oil backed ZX6 Kawasaki. Despite this at the end of the four lap race he clinched 57th place finish plus a hugely impressive personal best lap speed of 116.377 mph.
Having been aiming to make his debut on the most famous road racing circuit in the world for many years Sam has throughly enjoyed his first time competing at Manx Grand Prix. There’s no doubt he has the potential to run near the front at the Manx plus long term Sam is set to do well at the worlds greatest road race the Isle of Man TT.
