Deano Surges To Barry Sheene Trophy Victory

Dean Harrison surged his way to Barry Sheene trophy victory at the Barry Sheene Festival Powered by Suzuki.

ZXR 750 Kawasaki mounted Dean produced a first class all round performance as he made it back to back Barry Sheene Trophy victories, having been victorious in 2014 on Mistral Racing’s ZXR 750 Kawasaki.

Plus the race today saw the 2014 lightweight TT race winner chalk up a new classic superbike lap record around Oliver’s Mount following lap time of 1 minute 50.153 seconds.

Ryan Farquhar on the Roger Winfield backed 1100 Harris F1 Yamaha finished in second position.

The seven times Duke road race rankings champion showcased his Oliver’s Mount class whilst James Cowton competing for team York Suzuki completed the top three finishers.

Reigning Duke road race rankings champion James had not before today competed on the finely turned out machine, despite this he showed his huge talent as he edged out Lee Johnston for top three finish.

Finishing behind three times international road race winner Lee Johnston in fourth was Mistral Racing’s Jamie Coward who showed strong form.

RC30 Honda mounted Kiaran Hankin clinched sixth place finish, Martin Harrison former Barry Sheene trophy winner finished a highly creditable seventh.

For Dean Harrison Barry Sheene trophy success today is proof once again of the rider from Bradford’s proven ability around the iconic road race circuit that is Oliver’s Mount.
