David McConnachy is aiming to increase his presence on the roads in 2016.
Planned schedule for the rider who made his pure road racing debut at last years Scarborough Gold Cup, includes taking in all Oliver’s Mount meeting’s, the Southern 100 and the world’s fastest road race, the Ulster Grand Prix.
Machinery wise for the season, he’s set to compete on his own teams ER6 Kawasaki and YZF R6 Yamaha.
Commenting on his racing career to date, David said:
“Finished runner up in the 2014 NEMCRC PI600 championship, led it all year until 1 mechanical and lost by just 8 points, collecting 2 clubs lap records around Croft along the way.
Started looking to pursue road racing ambitions, moving classes to Supersport 600, on Yamaha R6 also preparing an ER6 Kawasaki Supertwin.
Made roads debut at the Scarborough Gold Cup in 2015, qualified and finished 11th in Gold Cup B race, against some very experienced competition and also, finished 7th and 8th in 600 B race, getting down to some great lap times, with only 1 dry days riding.
Looking forward to a good year, supported and helped by Hel Performance, Racebikebitz, Motul Oils, GB racing, NFmoto, GB tuning and Sponsor “Precision Mastic.”
Still looking for help and support towards 2016, Big thanks to friends and family who’s support is unreserved.”
