Darlington’s Stephen Degnan is the latest seasoned roads competitor to express an interest, in sampling next year the newly re evoked Eppynt Welsh Road Races.
Known for his deft touch around Oliver’s Mount, the experienced rider has the proven credentials to as at Scarborough become an accomplished, solid exponent of the scheduled for next August Brecon Beacons based meet.
Twice ninth in the Senior races of last July’s Barry Sheene Road Race Festival Powered by Suzuki, when reflecting on his latest year of competition at Scarborough, which also included the Bob Smith Spring Cup and 67th Gold Cup, PMH Promotions backed Degnan said:
“My 2017 season on the roads and Oliver’s Mount went really well and provided a platform for the up and coming 2018 season.
Although hampered by bad weather and some really tragic events, when the racing got going at Oliver’s Mount it was, as ever, excellent racing against strong competition and packed grids.
Throughout the season my results continued to improve, including numerous top ten finishes in A finals, and a third place in a highly competitive Junior 600 B final in the Bob Smith Spring Cup.”

Adding how his plans for next season are shaping up, the racer who for 2018 will pilot Kawasaki machinery in Supersport and Superstock trim, stated:
“I am hoping to continue my success of the 2017 season by qualifying for the A Finals in all the national road races in Ireland and Oliver’s Mount.
Plus competing at the International Road Races North West 200, Ulster GP and the newly introduced Welsh TT.”
