Air Ambulance Northern Ireland Receive £1500 From Minibikers

Minibike racing is one of the fastest-growing sports in Ireland, and a small, but enthusiastic club, the IMC (Irish Minibike Championship) hold a ten-round championship around race circuits in Ireland each year.

Round 8 took place at Nutts Corner on Sunday 28th July, where along with the racing, there were also some fundraising activities for ‘Air Ambulance NI.’

Following the conclusion of the day racing, a parent’s race on BamBam machinery provided great entertainment both on and off the track, also, a ‘Body wax’ took place, where competitor Michael Thompson braved the pain, to raise funds for the Charity.

Along with various donations, the sum of £1312.29 and €107.20 was collected for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

The IMC wish to Thank everyone who supported the event, Michael Thompson for donating his chest hair (or at least patches of it), the fantastic Marshals who donated generously, and of course our BamBam Parents for an entertaining end to 2 fantastic days of racing.

Congratulations to the winner of our BamBam Parents Race, Vinny Brennan. Safe to say young Cody has taught him well!

We are ‘So very proud of our wee IMC family’.

A donation of £1500.00 has been made to the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
