Super Twins:
Super Twin races, rarely disappoint at Cookstown. Expect more of the same, later this week.
National roads returner Derek McGee (Jack Reid Cars/KMR Kawasaki), 2019 Duke Road Race Rankings Champion Michael Sweeney are undoubted leading candidates for class glory.
The same vibe can be attributed to IRRC competitor, Darryl Tweed (Novo Gen by FAO Racing – Aprilia).
Added riders, to keep a close eye on, include:
Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams, Barry Furber with his potent MT07 Yamaha, Andy Farrell, Michael Gahan, Neil Kernohan.
Darragh Crean, Dean McMaster, Lee Hara, Caomhan Canny and Orritor circuit newbies, Joe Yeardsley (Scott Racing – Aprilia), William Grant (Cowton Racing – Kawasaki), Luke Blevins.
In total, entry numbers stand at 42, with established aces, seasoned C100 exponents, hungry newcomers all set for action.
Lightweight:
Lightweight class wise, top profile pilots entered include the prior featured, Darryl Tweed.
As shown at Dundrod, the Mountain Course, bulk of national meetings, the Ballymoney rider is quite the specialist on 400cc tackle and he’s sure to be a lead contender again for overall Lightweight race spoils.
Gareth Arnold, Ryan Whitehall, Aidan Cleary, Sidecar passenger TT winner x8 Dan Sayle, German roads scene explorer Chris Meyer, join Tweed as prospective contenders for top calibre finishes.
Further depth to the Lightweight Supersport entry, is provided by racers such as Tony Flinton, Richard Ford, Tim Walsh and Cumbrian James Rothery.
Senior Support:
Onto Senior Support Cookstown competition, with just past twenty-two riders due to take part.
Entrants to keenly monitor include Trison McMullan Racing’s Lee Osprey, Caomhan Canny, Stuart McCann, brother of Jackson Racing’s Paul Jordan, Gary Jordan, Tim Walsh.
Lee Hara, Sean Brolly, Aidan Cleary, Mick Hogan, Jack Meares and roads scene newcomer, Roadhouse Macau team’s Brandon Kavanagh.
Junior Support:
660cc, 650cc Twins apparatus, 400’s, two-stroke, Supermono instruments, the Junior Support category features various, different machinery.
Whilst tough to predict who will attain rostrum finishes, competitors with designs on strong C100 ventures include the above-showcased Lee Hara, Sean Brolly, Chris Meyer, Kelly Carruthers, Stuart McCann.
James Doy, Jason Whelan, Adrian Morris, Dave Walsh, Brian Loughlin.
Debutants Kevin Lavery, Luke Blevins, Thomas Bradshaw and ex works Honda rider, National Superstock 1000 Championship front-runner, Cowton Racing’s Franco Bourne.
