Prior to the thrills, pulsating competition from TT 2019, the Blackfords Financial Services Pre TT Classic Road Races proved quite tumultuous in particular for one esteemed, highly respected Sidecar exponent, Rod Bellas.
Victorious alongside Danny Quirk in both four lap Steadplan Primus Racing Sidecar races, new Pre TT Classic Sidecar race record holder Bellas, race successes marked 30 years since he first secured three wheeling spoils at the Southern 100.

Not far off lap record pace at Billown, York’s Bellas is another of Sidecar racing’s great unsung heroes.
Four decades a TT competitor, his impressive TT CV includes four top ten finishes, 13 top 15 finishes and overall 18 top 20 finishes.
His present personal best result at the world’s most famous, illustrious roads meeting arose in the Sidecar B race from 1999, when alongside Geoff Knight he finished in seventh place, at the time finishing in front of three wheeling royalty such as Conrad Harrison, Vince Biggs and Eddy Wright.
