Oliver’s Mount favourite Rodger Wibberley looks set to venture out of racing retirement for the Barry Sheene Classic, with competition aboard Team York Suzuki’s, Suzuki Vintage Parts, Motul backed SV650RR steed on the horizon.
Over three decades a competitor at England’s only closed roads course, it seemed that last year’s Gold Cup would prove his final racing tenure at Scarborough.
Results wise, his most recent Gold Cup stint yielded a collection of creditable finishes including placing 14th within the opening Super Twins encounter.
Looking towards this months Scarborough competition, one of pure road racing’s best ambassadors who has passed on countless tips, helpful knowledge to various current racers, shouldn’t be underestimated in the always highly competitive Super Twins class.

Wibberley who’s Manx GP CV includes nine top 20 finishes, will be competing against the likes of ER6 Kawasaki mounted duo Julian Tillotson and Cowton Racing’s Dominic Herbertson.
Expect top calibre twins machinery action at the eagerly awaited Barry Sheene Classic, which reminder again takes place from the 14th-16th of August.
