2026 Irish Road Races Amount Increases, Kells Returns

Following a productive AGM (a general meeting), Kells Road Races organisers, have disclosed their intention to bring back this year (dates 20th-21st June), the County Meath located event.

First held thirty-two years ago (1994), the Crossakiel, Kells circuit quickly established itself as a proper ‘old school’ roads scene venue.

Household names victorious this century at Kells include:

TT wins record holder Michael Dunlop MBE, seven times Duke Road Race Rankings Champion Ryan Farquhar, Sam Dunlop, Guy Martin, Cameron Donald, the late great William Dunlop.

Derek Sheils, Open race winner in 2022 Michael Sweeney, Paul Jordan, Andy Farrell, the much-missed Dan Kneen.

Kells return increases the official amount of confirmed Irish Road Races for 2026 to eight joining the Cookstown 100 (24th-25th April), Northwest 200 (4th-9th May), Tandragee 100 (26th-27th June), Skerries 100 (4th-5th July), Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ (24th-25th July), Mid Antrim 150 (31st July-1st August), and Athea Road Races (12th-13th September).
