TT 2019: Despite Organisers Best Efforts, High Winds, Mist Curtails Friday Evening’s Practice Action

Despite the best efforts of the event organisers, high winds, mist on the Mountain section of the Mountain Course, has put pay to any chance of practice action this evening at TT 2019.

Prior to practice cancellation, there was various racing insiders stating that racers could complete short laps tonight, going over the Mountain in a speed controlled fashion behind a travelling marshal.

Unfortunately this didn’t happen, and you’ve got to feel sorry for TT Clerk of The Course Gary Thompson MBE BEM, who is giving it everything in pursuit of racers gaining much needed track time.

Due to another practice session falling by the way side, Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison remains the practice week leader across all four stroke classes.

KTS Racing’s Jamie Coward remains top of the Lightweight practice leader board, whilst John Holden/Lee Cain head the Sidecars fraternity in front of Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley.
