Its thirty years since the first Killalane road races and the popular road race in its 30th anniversary has attracted a top all round entry list. This includes Jamie Hamilton who is greatly looking forward to competing on Wilson Craig racing’s CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade superbike as he bids to round off 2014 road road racing season in style.

Michael Sweeney has had an impressive season of racing which has included clinching Irish road race 250 championship. Alongside competing on John Burrows teams Cookstown Burrows engineering racing RS250 Honda at Killalane the two time junior Manx Grand Prix winner will also be in contention for victories on Martin Jones racing backed ZX10 Kawasaki and R6 Yamaha.
Irish road race supersport champion for 2014 Derek Mcgee has had a memorable season of racing and will start one of the favourites for open and grand final race victories. Derek Sheils competing on CD racing’s ZX10 Kawasaki will also be confident of running near the sharp end as will Davy Morgan who has produced in 2014 another successful season of racing.

Michal Dokoupil in 2014 has produced many a top all round performance including 10th place finish in lightweight TT. The hugely popular rider will be aiming for more good results at Killalane. Andy Farrell following third and second place finishes in junior and super twins races at Manx Grand Prix is in excellent form and could well spring a surprise or two as could 2012 junior Manx Grand Prix winner Wayne Kirwan.

Having already clinched Irish road race super twins championship Connor Behan will be looking to end 2014 road racing season in top fashion with victory in super twins race at Killalane on the as always highly competitive KMR Kawasaki super twin. Seamus Elliott, Neil Kernohan, James Kelly and Ian Morrell all have the potential to secure top three finishes as does Sam Dunlop who will start one of the favourites for 125 race victory.
Experienced competitor around the mountain course Andy Mcpherson, top six finisher around Oliver’s Mount Steven Procter, seasoned road racer Derek Costello and Derek Wilkie who is also soon set to make his Oliver’s Mount debut at Scarborough gold cup add further quality to what is an excellent line up for 2014 Killalane road races.
