The information passed onto Road Racing News, is illustrated below:
“The Cookstown Club acknowledges the increasingly challenging financial environment facing road racing events in Ireland, impacting both promoters and competitors.
It is imperative to recognize that competitors often experience significant financial constraints when preparing for participation in these events. In-light of this understanding, the Cookstown Club has decided to adjust entry fees for the upcoming 2025 event (25th-26th April) to provide support to competitors.
While the complete elimination of entry fees is not feasible at this time—an aspiration the club would like to achieve in the future—we are implementing a revised fee structure.”
“For the 2025 event, the entry fee for the initial race will be established at £100. Each additional entry will incur a fee of £70, with a maximum cumulative cap of £240 for competitors registering for three races or more. This structured approach seeks to alleviate some of the financial pressures associated with participation while promoting higher engagement in the event.
The club recognizes that even a modest reduction in fees can significantly impact those who diligently prepare and allocate resources to compete. This initiative is intended to convey our appreciation for the commitment and dedication competitors demonstrate each year.
The Cookstown Club is grateful for the presence of all competitors, whose efforts contribute significantly to the success and excitement of the Cookstown 100 event.”
