2025 Cookstown 100 latest courtesy of one of pure road racing’s greatest supporters, Baylon McCaughey.
The information passed onto Road Racing News covering potential, C100 Classic SBK competition, is illustrated below:
“The Cookstown & District Motorcycle Club will officially introduce a ‘Classic Superbike’ class at their event in April! This initiative will take place provided that the club receives enough entries to make the class viable.
Classic Superbikes are becoming more popular, re-living the early days of Kawasaki, Ducati, Suzuki etc superbikes.
The organizing club will be utilizing the same regulations that have been successfully employed at the Armoy road races over the past few years, which will ensure a familiar and competitive environment for all participants.”
“With three roads events now featuring this exciting class, it is hoped that it will be incorporated into an Ulster Championship category in 2025. To gauge interest and confirm the feasibility of filling a grid for the event, the club are appealing to Classic Superbike Competitors to submit their entries as soon as possible.
Your prompt action will be invaluable in helping the club assess the level of enthusiasm for this new category.
Classic Superbike Racing is already a proven class at Armoy, Scarborough and the Manx Grand Prix, with Irish competitors including Mike Browne, Dennis Booth, Andy Farrell, Michael Dunlop, Damian Horan but to name a few.
Riders have already expressed their interest, but more entries are required to make the class viable.”
