2014 Killalane Road Races – Grand Final News

Despite starting 14th on the grid Michael Dunlop powered his way through to grand final victory at Killalane road races. The rider competing on his own teams superstock TT winning S1000RR BMW was victorious by 2.735 seconds over Jamie Hamilton who was an excellent second on Wilson Craig racing CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade superbike.
Michael Sweeney’s excellent day of racing at Killalane continued with third place finish whilst Derek Sheils on CD racing ZX10 Kawasaki fourth position. Seamus Elliott is having a tremendous season of racing and another top result was secured with fifth place finish following fine all round performance.
Davy Morgan completed top six on CMS racing backed CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade as Derek Mcgee Irish road race supersport champion was seventh and first 600 mounted rider home.
Michal Dokoupil following top five finish in super twins race secured eighth position whilst John Walsh and Gareth Keys CBR 600 Honda mounted completed top ten. Another storming performance from Michael Dunlop grand final victory from 14th on the grid to round off his 2014 Irish road racing season in top style.
