19 times TT winner Michael Dunlop is set to return to roads action next month, sampling the hugely popular Southern 100.
Ruled out of the world famous, illustrious Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, due to injuries received from an incident at last weekend’s Donegal Rally, the 31 times International Road Race winner is determined to get back to competitive action as soon as possible.
Machinery wise for his latest Billown course stint, the four times Superbike TT champion is planning to pilot Superbike spec S1000RR BMW machinery in the premier 1000cc races, including the blue riband Solo Championship.

He’s also set to compete aboard his own teams CBR 600RR Honda in the notoriously ultra- competitive, always keenly contested Supersport class.
Solo champion in 2011, 2012 and 2016, the legendary roads exponent on more than one occasion over the years has showcased that the impossible can be made possible.
He’s going to need all his fierce determination, relentless grit, talent, pace to wrestle back the Southern 100 Solo Championship crown next month, as he competes against top quality opposition which of course includes Senior TT winner Dean Harrison.
