Reigning Duke Road Road Rankings champion William Dunlop, has parted company with CD Racing.
William is now running his own team, piloting a brand new YZF R6 Yamaha which carries backing from IC (Ivan Curran) Racing, at this weeks Vauxhall International North West 200.
Superstock and superbike races, sees him competing on MSS Colchester backed ZX10R Kawasaki, TT 2016 is set to see William in action on a superbike, it’s still to be confirmed as to what machinery, it will be.
Today at the North West 200, has seen the hugely popular rider, finish ninth quickest in supersport practice, tenth in superstock practice and fourteenth in superbike practice.
Prior to practice, William talked about his expectations, with Nick Morgan’s MSS Colchester Kawasaki outfit:
“Of course it’s good to be at my home race and I’m looking forward to riding the MSS Kawasaki flat out. Ideally we need some good dry track time to maximise the set-up but I’m confident we’ll be near the front come race day.”
Next action at the Giant Causeway based meeting, takes place on Thursday, with qualifying sessions and the first three races of the meeting, opening supersport, super twin and superstock.

Although it’s obviously not ideal preparation going into the opening international road race of the year, parting company with CD Racing, William will start in my opinion amongst the front runners in particular on the 600’s.
