Last month’s RST Classic Superbike Manx Grand Prix, marked the last time that we will see Wilcock Consulting Ltd supported machines on road race circuits.
Steadfast supporters of the real roads scene, Graham Wilcock’s company has enjoyed various great moments, in particular with Barrow In Furness racer Dan Stewart.
Alongside the 2012 TT Privateers Championship title, 15 plus top ten TT finishes, including top six finishes in the showpiece, blue riband Senior class have additionally been clinched by Stewart aboard red, black, white liveried steeds.
I’d be remiss not to focus as well on the top privateer honour, secured from the 2017 Lightweight Classic TT, were Stewart finished an overall respectable ninth.
Following Stewart’s retirement from TT racing in 2018, the Wilcock Consulting squad has since worked with the following racers:
Triple Manx GP winner Michael Evans enjoying Pre-TT Classic success, strong Southern 100, TT results.
Jonathan Perry, York’s Joey Thompson, Stephen Parsons and recent top ten Manx GP top ten finisher, Banbridge’s Shaun Anderson.
Responsible for running, preparing the outfit’s machine stable since the late 2010’s, motorcycle performance centre MBR Motorsports Ltd, issued their reaction via Facebook to Wilcock Consulting stepping away from road racing.
“Well after 20 years of racing, Graham from Wilcock Consulting has decided to call it a day and retire from racing.
For the last 5 years MBR Motorsports ltd have built and ran the bikes for Graham from our workshop in Barrow with great success and have had the pleasure of working with some great riders.
Over those years our reliability record has been second to none, the bikes have finished every TT and MGP race they have started, and have racked up wins and podiums and club championships.
This might be the end of the red, white and black bikes but not the end for MBR Motorsports ltd, we are working on plans for next year, and would like to have bikes at the TT and Manx GP.
We would like to thank all those that have helped over the years and for all the supporters. as Arnie once said, we’ll be back.”
