West, Saiger Confirm Macau Returns

Dark horses for top six finishes or better, Horst Saiger and Sam West are the latest racers to confirm their entries for November’s Macau Grand Prix.

RST Superbike Classic TT runner up Saiger, a multi times top five finisher at Macau, back in 2016 at the iconic Asian roads event scooped an excellent fifth place finish, at the time finishing in front of star names such as Ian Hutchinson, Stuart Easton and John McGuinness.

Looking forward to returning to roads competition next month, the affable Saiger as at July’s Imatranajo meet in Finland, will pilot high spec YZF R1M Yamaha machinery which features backing from Hostettler, IXS and Metzeler.

Fellow high level International roads exponent Sam West, has quietly impressed many this year with his pace at TT 2018, the North West 200 and MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix.

Set to jockey again the PRL Racing/OHA Motorsport S1000RR BMW, that served him so well in May, June on the Mountain Course, he’s a rider not to be underestimated.

As aforementioned, Wilmslow’s West and anticipated lead Yamaha runner Saiger, are both extremely capable of banking top six finishes or better at Macau.

Determined, calm under pressure, good team players and of course more than a touch quick, they have all the attributes required to take home next month, first rate results from Macau.
