Dipping over the 118 mph mark on his way to a very creditable 13th place finish in yesterday’s Senior Manx Grand Prix, Michelin backed Wayne Humble was overall pleased with his progress on the Mountain Course, following a successful completion of a second two week voyage on the Isle of Man.
Speaking after the record breaking race, the Newcastle Upon Tyne based racer stated via his Facebook page:
“Well that’s the Manx GP over and done with, managed 13th overall was 3rd on the first lap to Ramsey but got held up big time, but managed to get into 118 mph laps so well chuffed with that.
Just like to thank my pit crew smokey and Matty and Jay Bruce and Michelin for all there support and all the sponsors am leathers, Neil McDonald, Bulk Haulage, Consett Car and Commercial, KRG Motorcycles, Merlin Sidecars and JR Humble and Sons Ltd and my cousin Lee Humble Maintenance and Fabrication.
Thanks for all the support guys here’s to next year.”

Alongside his Senior exploits, the prior reduced three lap Junior race saw him finish a very respectable 19th, which as in Friday’s blue riband Manx GP encounter, was more than enough to secure another coveted replica trophy.
