By The Wanganui road races celebrates its 63rd anniversary of racing this year. Having first started in 1951 the popular road races in New Zealand have seen over the years many famous names secure feature race victory.
This includes Robert Holden, Dave Hiscock and Pat Hennen. In 2010 and 2011 Dan Stauffer was victorious in feature race whilst last year saw Nick Cole ZX10 Kawasaki clinch blue riband win around Wanganui.

Guy Martin is back competing at Wanganui road races this year having enjoyed a productive day of racing in 2013 which included back to back fifth place finishes in formula 1 and feature races.
11 times Ulster Grand Prix winner Guy has in 2014 proven once again why he is considered amongst the leading riders in pure road racing. Solo championship success at Southern 100 for second year in succession, open and supersport victories at the Armoy road races and Dundrod 150 superbike victory have been amongst the highlights for the hugely popular rider in 2014.
