Tyco BMW are tipped by many to make a switch to Dunlop Tyres, as 14 times TT winner Ian Hutchinson, looks set to follow Michael Dunlop, John McGuinness, Guy Martin, Bruce Anstey and Peter Hickman in been Dunlop treaded for this years TT Races.
Hutchy’s momentous five wins in a week at TT 2010, saw him using Dunlop equipment. A move back to the multi TT winning tyre manufacturer for TT 2017, could well prove the final piece of the puzzle needed, for RST Superbike and Pokerstars Senior victories.
Dunlop’s are considered by many in the know, as been more durable over race distance around the Mountain Course, than Metzeler’s.
Alongside their sustained TT success, the company which was founded in 1890, has also enjoyed in recent years Macau Grand Prix wins with Peter Hickman, plus multiple North West 200 victories.
A who’s who in terms of road racing, currently use Dunlop’s for the international road races.

It would be an additional coo for the well respected brand, should Tyco BMW elect to link up with them.
With this very real possibility, the leading Metzeler treaded riders for the international’s in 2017, look set to be Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison, JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s James Hillier, Michael Rutter, Dan Kneen and Martin Jessopp.
