Announced earlier today, British Talent Cup, National Sportbike podium finisher Rhys Stephenson, will join Franco Bourne, Gary McCoy as a solo Mountain Course newcomer in this year’s TT Races.
Poised to be astride Rocket Racing’s 660 Daytona Triumph, for Sportbike race quests, the Skegness rider at just twenty years of age, is the youngest racer within TT 2026’s solo race entry-lists.
An ex-Red Bull Rookies Cup competitor, he placed seventh overall in the past year’s Pirelli National Sportbike Championship, finishing second best Triumph vaulted racer behind current World Sportbike Championship exponent Harrison Dessoy.
Discussing taking on motorcycling’s mount Everest equivalent, Stephenson enthusiastically said:
“In my first year, I am hoping to learn the course and build confidence around the island. I am going in with no expectations. I just want to enjoy my time on the bike and learn as much as I can.
I’ve been over to the Island numerous times already to make sure I am well prepared for my first laps and I’ll definitely be heading over to do more laps with Milky and John.
I am super excited to get out on the road and go down Bray Hill for the first time.”
